Loving Romeo & Friends

If it wasn't for CCR, I never would have met my soul dog. And Romeo would have never found the human that would cater to his every need and weird quirk. ;)

During Covid, I finally felt ready to rescue a dog and commit to a dog in my life. I knew it'd take a lot and my life felt too chaotic before. That time helped me slow down a lot and I needed the companionship (I didn't even realize how much). It took a VERY long time because so many people seemed to be in the same mindset. I was looking at many local organizations and optimistically put my name in for a black lab that I thought looked perfect for me at CCR -- but they got adopted before I could stand a chance. I was devastated and almost gave up out of pure frustration after months of looking. That's when CCR called me and said "I think we've got your perfect guy; we'll hold him for you if you want to come meet him." I did immediately, and when he jumped up and stared into my eyes, I knew right away. 5 years later, he's my dream come true and the goodest boy there ever was. He's velcro in the best way. He's famous around the neighborhood for being such a lover. And he's (by far) more than I ever expected. I truly credit CCR with listening to what I wanted and needed in a dog, knowing what he needed, and making the perfect match. Let's do this for all the good boys and girls out there!!
