I decided to come back to Chicago Canine Rescue, my first love, and the place I fell in love with Chicago's vibrant rescue community. It only makes sense, then, that I'd celebrate coming home by doing the thing we always used to joke about back in the old days at the shelter - rolling out my sleeping bag and sleeping in the kennel!
This year, CCR is celebrating its' 25th birthday (!), and we are at a pivotal moment in our history - perched on the edge of incredible growth, in our community and in lifesaving. These past 6 months have seen an unprecedented increase in lifesaving, with our intake up 32% over last year. While numbers may not be exciting, when each number represents a "yes!" to a dog in need, 32% is a pretty big deal.
As we grow, our operational expenses do, too - more dogs = more spays and neuters, more vaccines, more food, love, care, and homes. It's pivotal that we raise funds to continue to support this growth, as we aim to save more lives than ever before. I would be so grateful if you would consider making a donation to my page, and helping to support CCR as we begin our next chapter.
