From now through May 31, 2024, all new donations to CCR will be matched dollar for dollar up to $100,000!

For over 20 years, Chicago Canine Rescue (CCR) has served Chicagoland by helping build a community where all dogs have safe, healthy, and loving homes.

In 2024, we are proud to announce bold plans that aim to grow the organization and begin a new journey for dog rescue, care and adoption services in the Chicagoland area.

Underpinning CCR’s growth and modernization plans is a significant financial commitment from a generous donor, who has also become the organization’s new landlord. The new owner of the North Elston Avenue facility is a long-time supporter of CCR, and this investment represents their belief in the organization and their vision for an exciting future.

In addition to taking over ownership of the building, this donor has committed a pool of funds that will be used in three ways:

1) much-needed repairs and maintenance for the shelter space in the short term,

2) a kick-start for the development of a long-term plan for the modernization of the facility that will yield a fresh, state-of-the-art canine welfare center, and

3) an unprecedented $100,000 matching commitment in support of CCR’s “New Leash on Life” fundraising campaign through May 31, 2024.
